London to Paris, Day 4 (Short one, as this is a travel day.)

Ok, so we left London via the Eurostar headed for Paris; via the Chunnel. While the ride was very nice, smooth and pretty fast; we were in the Chunnel before we even realized we were anywhere near the water, so if you ever take that route don’t expect the Chunnel to be anything spectacular. We arrived in Paris in early afternoon, and after a fairly lengthy (yet speedy) Metro ride, we made it to our hotel.

After getting settled in, we decided to dive right in and take the Metro to see the Tour Eiffel (as the French call it). Hint: If you are ever in Paris, and want to see Eiffel in all of it’s glory—and take some great pictures—take the Metro to Trocadero (there are several stops which are listed as the stop for Tour Eiffel, but Trocadero is not one of them). Anyway, the pictures were great, and Eiffel is all it is hyped up to be (therefore expect to wait in line for 1-1½ hours to get to the top; but you can grab a hot dog and some French fries while you wait!).

After spending hours at Eiffel (in line, at the top, in line to get back down ;-) ), we called it a night and headed back to the Metro for our hotel.
